To work, as part of a laboratory-based team, in the development of new energy curable liquid inks and intermediates for the global label and packaging market. Provide technical support for existing UV-curing flexographic inks and intermediates. Carry out a range of daily tasks in the Technical Centre as required.

The role scope is twofold.

Senior Security Ink Technologist

We are looking for a Senior Technologist to join our liquid inks development team to contribute to the research and formulation of UV curable varnishes and inks for high security print applications.
The Role:
To work as part of a laboratory based team, to formulate and develop new security products for Gravure, Flexo and Screen printing. This position will focus on UV varnishes and inks primarily, but will also be involved in the development of water-based and solvent-based products as well.
To plan and carry out project work and experimentation. This may involve providing support, training and guidance for junior technical staff.

To carry out evaluations of new and alternative raw materials

Experience in dealing with complaints and customer support activities would be helpful. Prior involvement with energy curing or offset ink and coatings technologies would be an advantage. The position will require some travel, as the Team supports manufacturing sites in mainland Europe.
* Product Development - adjustment to existing products to meet business, raw material cost saving and other external factor requirements to agreed deadlines and timescales.
